Phase 1: Supply Chain Excellence
a. Define Excellence
Having a clear picture of your strategic objective is imperative. Your organization must be aligned on this point. Fortunately, in life science supply chain the objective is frequently simple – always maintain supply to customers, at a reasonable cost.
b. Measure Excellence
Your selected strategic objective will direct your decision on which metric(s) to select. Develop a performance management system that encourages success and avoids pitfalls commonly associated with metrics.
Phase 2: Mine The Gaps

“Defect data” related to the strategic objective will be analyzed to identify the only critical gaps that will “move the needle”. These will, in turn, help to define the level 2 metrics.

Daily supply chain disruptions are a reality of life. Daily Mining will help you minimize the impact of these disruptions by developing a structured, daily process. This will keep everyone aligned and ensure the supply chain status is very visible across your organization.
c. Breakthrough Process Design
Solid supply chain performance results require good people and robust business processes. We will use 7 principles of business process redesign to radically improve how work gets done. This will minimize pain-points, cross-functional disconnects and transform your supply chain performance.
d. Amplify Capability
Leveraging a supply chain capability model, you can perform a holistic assessment across multiple domains. These domains include people, processes and technology. This assessment will be used to help build a strategic roadmap prioritized to your needs.
